Question Who is a good example of a "One Year Wonder"?

Who could be classified as a "One Year Wonder", where an artist or band/group gets really popular for one year, has multiple hits, and then stop being talked about pretty quickly?

I listen to Give Me Just a Little More Time once a month or so. Great song.

The 8 Series examines various musicians who achieved significant commercial success with their initial projects but struggled to maintain that momentum in later years. This retrospective explores how shifting industry trends, evolving artistic directions, and label challenges affected the long-term career trajectories of these once-promising performers.

Another perfect example: Terence Trent D'Arby (born Terence Trent Howard; name now legally changed to Sananda Francesca Maitreya).

Terence Trent D'Arby had three Top-40 successes in 1988, the first of which, "Wishing Well", reached number-one on the Hot 100. The two others were "Sign Your Name" (which reached #4) and "Dance Little Sister" (#30). All three of those singles came from one album: Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby.

Terence Trent D'Arby is not a one-hit-single wonder; He is a one-hit-album wonder.

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

The singer I had high hopes for because when she debuted her first single Tell Me How You Feel in 2000 people were starting to compare her to Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey that could be called a one-year wonder would have to be Joy Enriquez because when Joy first made her debut on the soundtrack of Anna And The King people were envisioning her to be like Mariah Carey and when I bought Joy Enriquez's debut album I noticed that they gave her an R&B sound and there was few Jennifer Lopez like songs but in the ballads Joy Enriquez sounded like Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. But why Arista Records didn't give Joy Enriquez's debut album enough promotion is a mystery in itself
