How exactly did the sitcom stage for "ELR" work - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

At least based on the 30th anniversary reunion special, it looked like was recorded on the same stage the show was originally recorded on. And it looked exactly the same all these years later. When a set is no longer in use, does it stay assembled and decorated and just stored somewhere?

I would like to know this myself. I wouldn't be surprised if sets have been handed off to other shows eventually if they can still be used again, especially if they come from shows that don't stick around long.
