Default The Retro Superman and Wonder Woman Crossover We Need | SuperWonder Legacy Episode 59

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSybxJlLrBo

Quote:
In this week's packed episode, Jared and Brit discuss what a crossover between Christopher Reeve's Superman and Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman would look like.

Just before the destruction of the planet Krypton, scientist Jor-El (Marlon Brando) sends his infant son Kal-El on a spaceship to Earth. Raised by kindly farmers Jonathan (Glenn Ford) and Martha Kent (Phyllis Thaxter), young Clark (Christopher Reeve) discovers the source of his superhuman powers and moves to Metropolis to fight evil. As Superman, he battles the villainous Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman), while, as novice reporter Clark Kent, he attempts to woo co-worker Lois Lane (Margot Kidder).

Wonder Woman is a superheroine created by the American psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston, and artist Harry G. Peter in 1941 for DC Comics. Marston's wife, Elizabeth, and their life partner, Olive Byrne, are credited as being his inspiration for the character's appearance. Diana Prince, a true Amazonian with special powers, fights bad guys in a skintight outfit. In classic 'wham, bam' comic-book style, Wonder Woman catches people in her magic lasso of truth and uses her golden belt and bracelets to deflect things such as bullets.

Discussed in this episode
  1. The History of Wonder Woman in Television
  2. The History of Christopher Reeve's Superman
  3. The Original Plot of Superman 3
  4. The Semi Crossover Episode of Wonder Woman
  5. What a Comic Crossover Could Look Like

Chapters:
  • 0:00 Start
  • 0:00:42 Christopher Reeve Meets Lynda Carter
  • 0:01:31 Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman
  • 0:10:02 Christopher Reeve's Superman
  • 0:28:51 Super Pairings Were Inevitable
  • 0:54:16 Wonder Woman As A Mouthpiece/The Original Superman 3
  • 0:42:57 What Superman 3 Became
  • 0:53:09 Wonder Woman, The Man Who Could Not Die
  • 1:05:18 Wonder Woman '77 Comics
  • 1:12:49 Superman '78 Comics
  • 1:15:15 Superman/Wonder Woman Motion Comic
  • 1:27:18 Lynda Carter On SuperWonder
  • 1:49:48 Fan Art
  • 2:04:59 Wrap Up

What do you think? How would you cross over Christopher Reeve's Superman and Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman? Could a Superman '78 and Wonder Woman '77 be successful?

This fan-made AI video is a visual tribute inspired by classic late-1970s sitcoms and television aesthetics, blending vintage studio composition with the timeless charm of that era.

Created as a stylized promotional-style clip, it honors the legacy and screen presence of Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, and Lynda Carter, imagining them together through a respectful, period-accurate lens.

This project is an AI-assisted creative work, it is not an official production and is not affiliated with DC, Warner Bros., or any rights holders.
