Did anybody find this particular moment to be incredibly disturbing and creepy even at the time? In the episode, Cliff basically conducts a lengthy discussion (or interrogation) of his new son-in-law regarding his daughter’s sexual experience prior to their marriage. Martin, rather than telling Cliff to mind his own business or simply ignoring the question instead, blithely reassures Cliff that Denise was INDEED "virginal" when they consummated the marriage.
