SNL writer Steven Castillo announces his exit after a second stint on the show

Castillo, who was responsible for many fan-favorite sketches, announced he won't return for Season 51. Castillo originally joined SNL for Season 43 and departed in the middle of Season 47. Castillo began his second stint toward the end of Season 49. “My 2nd run at SNL was never meant to be long term. I wanted to be a part of the 50th, and I’m so glad I did," he wrote on Instagram. Castillo is the third SNL writer to exit after Season 50, following Rosebud Baker and Celeste Yim. |
