Default Dylan Walsh hit with multiple tickets after swerving lanes and crashing SUV...

...with 4 family members inside

Actor Dylan Walsh was hit with multiple tickets after he swerved across lanes in New Jersey before crashing into two utility poles with four passengers inside.

Nip/Tuck star Walsh, 61, was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash on Sunday, the Daily Mail can confirm.

While traveling northbound on East River Road, Walsh swerved into the southbound lane before breaking through a utility pole and continuing northbound, police said.

The car, a 2022 Ford Explorer, then collided with another utility pole and emergency crews responded to the 'serious' single-car crash just after 5pm.

Walsh was served with 'several motor vehicle summonses,' the Rumson Police Department said in a release.

The crash resulted in two of Walsh's passengers being transported to Riverview Medical Center with complaints of pain, according to police.

It remains unclear who involved in the crash was injured.

Police did not confirm if the summonses were linked to driving under the influence, but said the investigation remains ongoing.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Walsh's representative for comment.

In a statement to TMZ, the actor's representative previously said: 'Over the weekend, Dylan Walsh and his family were involved in a car accident in Rumson. Thankfully, everyone is safe and has since returned home.'

'The family is deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care,' they continued.

'They would also like to extend a special thank-you to the management and staff at The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath.'

The intersection remained closed until 7am the following day, and the crash kept eight neighboring residents without power until late on Sunday evening.

According to the local news outlet Towns Of: Monmouth County, NJ, Walsh's wife Leslie Bourque wrote about the crash in a since-deleted Facebook post.

'It was our family who was involved in the car accident on River Road yesterday afternoon. We just want to thank everyone who took care of us in this scary time,' Bourque reportedly wrote.

Walsh shares two children — daughter Amelie Bell, 13, and son Hudson Scott — with his third wife, Leslie Bourque (pictured in 2015 in NYC).

'1st of all to the managers/staff at River Point Inn who immediately ran out to make sure we were ok and comfort our kids (literally one lady wrapped her arms around all of us letting us know it would be ok) — bringing ice bags and the fancy Evian water bottle.'

She continued, thanking the 'first responders who came faster than one would think,' as well as the 'EMT who put up with my corny jokes in the ambulance. And the ER staff at Riverview Medical.'

Walsh's wife included an update on how her family members were doing after the crash.

'We are a bit bruised from seatbelts, but grateful for them and air bags which saved our lives,' she concluded. 'We apologize for anyone who lost power or inconvenience.'

Walsh shares two children, Amelie Bell, 13, and Hudson Scott, with his third wife Bourque who married in 2022.

He has two other children, Thomas and Joanna, with Boogie Nights actress Melora Walters.

Thomas made headlines in 2023 for rescuing a drowning driver from Baltimore Harbor after a car plunged into the waters.

Walsh's heroic son, who was 26 years old at the time, was seen diving into the waters fully clothed before punching the car window with his bare fists to free the driver.

A rep for Walsh exclusively told the Daily Mail that the heroic act of the military veteran who served in Iraq only shows 'that's the person he is!'

A co-worker to Thomas named Jordan Payne, who saw his heroic act, told the Baltimore Banner that he had suffered injuries from saving the driver.

She explained: 'His hand is like all the way cut up. His whole knuckles are busted.'

After breaking into the car, Thomas grabbed the driver and did his best to get him to safety.

A witness named Mike Malone said: 'I saw him when he had the guy, he was trying to hold him up, he was trying to pull him to safety.

Both the driver, who law enforcement said had suffered a mental health crisis, and Thomas were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
