Question What is the best "Freaky Friday" movie

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c64nofq7vco

The original version from 1976 with Barbara Harris as the mother and Jodie Foster as the daughter.

The 1995 made-for-TV version with Shelley Long as the mother and Gaby Hoffman as the daughter.

The 2003 version with Jamie Lee Curtis as the mother and Lindsay Lohan as the daughter.

The 2018 made-for-TV version with Heidi Blickenstaff as the mother and Cozi Zuehlsdorff as the daughter. This version was actually an adaptation of a 2016 stage musical.

Freaky Friday has finally received its first sequel with the release of Freakier Friday, so its time to take a look at all four Freaky Friday movies and the additional Freakier Friday movie in my latest freaky ranking!

Have you seen all of the Freaky Friday movies? How would you rank this odd collection of films?

In the midst of the aftermath of the most recent snowstorm, Stuart and Jacob meet up (virtually) once again to discuss two Disney family movies that neither had seen before. Well, they both think they may have seen the one from the early 2000's but for the life of them they just can't remember. Do either of these hold up or are they groan-inducing products of their time? This episode also contains discussion on the upcoming tidal wave of video game movies, and Jacob watched yet ANOTHER movie about celebs competing for money. All this and more on They Remade It!

How does the old FREAKY FRIDAY stack up against the new FREAKY FRIDAY? Here are 10 surprising differences between these two movies.

Disney has been on a remake kick the last few years, and “Freaky Friday” is the latest film to get rebooted! Disney first made a “Freaky Friday” film in 1976, and another one in 1995. But the most famous, by far, is the 2003 film starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. This hilarious movie was released in theatres, and was incredibly successful. On August 10, 2018, Disney is releasing a new version of “Freaky Friday” as a Disney Channel Original Movie. This movie stars Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff as the teen daughter and her mother who just can’t get along. Thanks to a little magic, they end up swapping bodies. And we’re pretty sure they’ll have a great relationship after they have to spend some time in each other’s bodies. While the general plot has stayed the same, there are some major differences in the 2018 and 2013 movies. We’ve got the scoop on ten differences! For all the latest Disney scoops, be sure to subscribe to TheThings!

Freaky Friday is one of those stories with timeless appeal. Mother and daughter don’t see eye to eye, and spend a day in each other’s shoes to help them better connect with one another.

Each generation could adapt this dynamic in a different way—and they have: The original 1976 film starring Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris; the 1995 TV movie starring Shelley Long and Gaby Hoffman; the 2003 hit starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan; and the “wait that exists?” 2018 movie musical starring Heidi Blickenstaff and Cozi Zuehlsdorff.

Now, in 2025, we have another installment: Freakier Friday, which reunites Curtis and Lohan for yet another intergenerational adventure. How does this latest version (the first sequel in the Freaky Friday cinematic universe) compare to the others? What can we learn from how these films have changed over time? While I can’t point out every single change ever made to every version, in this video, I hope to find out.

It's the sequel to the hit remake that didn't become a hit itself. Does Doug agree with it not getting audiences in seats? DisneyCember continues with Freakier Friday.
