"Rick & Morty" Lands Presidential Spin-off at Adult Swim

Keith David, who voices the President of the United States in Adult Swim’s "Rick & Morty", is getting his own spin-off - "President Curtis".

David made the announcement at San Diego Comic-Con.

“President Curtis has always been a blast to play,” said David.

“Getting to explore his world more deeply in this new series is a dream. I can’t wait for fans to see what kind of chaos he stirs up when Rick isn’t around to steal the spotlight.”

"President Curtis" is a new series coming in July on Adult Swim. A teaser trailer has been released.

"President Curtis" follows the Commander-in-Chief and his eccentric staff as they tackle the kind of crises that Rick Sanchez could never be bothered with - from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena.

Co-Created by "Rick & Morty's" Dan Harmon and James Siciliano and headlined by Keith David, the new animated comedy also stars Stephanie Beatriz and Jim Rash.

"President Curtis" Renewed for Season 2 Ahead of Series Premiere

President Andre Curtis’ term is not over quite yet.

The upcoming animated "Rick and Morty" spinoff has been renewed ahead of its series premiere, the creative team said Friday during the show’s Comic-Con panel. Keith David, who voices the titular character, is returning as well.

“President Curtis quickly proved himself worthy of another term!” Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, said in a statement.

“With Keith David’s inimitably endearing performance and the creativity of Dan, James and the entire show team, this series and this President are what the people need more of — even if they don’t know it yet.”
