What if Paul Reubens was cast on SNL?
For does who don't know, he auditioned for the Season 6 (1980-81) cast. If he was actually cast, would Pee-wee Herman have been an SNL character? If so, I would assume that instead of being presented as a real person to the world, he would just another sketch show character. Basically, Pee-wee Herman would be merely be character played by Paul Reubens and everyone would know that. And would Pee-wee have gotten over in that environment considering that Season 6 of SNL was not very popular?
