This video says the worst episode is "The Silent Treatment" from season 6. I totally disagree. While it's certainly not the best, it's nowhere near the worst.
Why do most think it is (according to the video, that's its rating from IMDb)? By season 6, everyone who watches the show has a picture of how Beaver reacts and behaves. They would say, Beaver is out of character. I say, he's now a young teen, and this is something teens do. So what's the worst? Contenders: "Child Care" from season 1. Would Ward and June leave Wally and Beaver in charge of a little kid, "Puddin'?" They were hesitant to leave much-older Beaver without a babysitter four years later. It's just not an enjoyable episode; it's kind of a silly episode. It's easily the worst episode of the season. "Chuckie's New Shoes" from season 4. I think a lot of people dislike this episode. Not much to it. Beaver takes little neighbor boy Chuckie to the shoe store, and loses him. (Hint: little kids hide. Look under the chair!). "Beaver the Babysitter" from season 5. There is so much wrong with this episode. Why would Wally assume Chuckie was the one who needed a babysitter? Why does Chuckie not know Beaver? It's been established they know each other. Why would the Cleavers allow Beaver to babysit, when June had so much angst even leaving Beaver without a babysitter? And a few weeks prior he and Gilbert, left alone for the evening, had Lumpy arrested. This episode is the worst of the series, IMO. |

“Beaver’s Good Deed” - The incredibly unbelievable episode, where both Ward and June just so very calmly take it in their stride after the callow Beaver allowed a bum (as the cynical Gilbert Bates oh-so-accurately called “Mr. Jeff”) into the Cleaver home to eat, bathe (in June’s own bathtub) and purloin one of Ward’s business suits, a shirt, tie, underwear and a pair of Ward’s dress shoes.
Any other American parents would very understandably want to smack some much-needed sense into their naive and overly-trusting son. |

The lowest rating I gave any episode was 3 out of 10. I'm really surprised there were 17 of them.

I dislike ,"Poor Loser," too, with 14 year-old Beaver acting about like an 8 year-old.

Digging into my IMDb LITB ratings I had 16 - 9 out 10 episodes and an amazing 84 - 10 out of 10 ratings. For well over 200 total episodes that shows the incredible consistency of the series.

Silent Treatment - although it could be true it was not in the typical character of the show and was a Debbie Downer to watch - not a fun episode
The show was based on COMEDY |
