Was the manner of which Lowell was written out too dark and depressing
Especially for a sitcom!? I mean, he joins the witness protection program after witnessing a mobster commit murder in a restaurant. That in itself doesn't make a lot of sense because why would a mobster knowingly kill somebody in a place like a restaurant that was full of witnesses? Also, if Lowell is now in the witness protection program, then that for all intents and purposes, meant he could never talk to any of his friends in Nantucket again.
