While "Andor" received critical acclaim and a devoted fanbase, it didn't become a massive, franchise-defining hit for a few key reasons. One significant factor was its focus on a more grounded, political-thriller story, straying from the traditional "Star Wars" elements of Jedi, lightsabers, and Force powers. This, combined with its intricate plotting and slower pacing, may have alienated some casual Star Wars viewers accustomed to more action-oriented stories. Additionally, the release schedule, with episodes dropped in smaller batches, didn't lend itself to the kind of viral buzz that fuels massive hits. |

When it comes to Star Wars and it's huge impact on the world people often have said that "when you have a hit movie expect an explosion of more hit movies and TV series in the long run" Which is why Star Wars has had so many hit movies and from the very Star Wars Christmas TV special that aired in the 70's to the Star Wars animated Ewoks cartoon in the 80's little did we know that decades later more Star Wars shows would follow. Starting with The Mandalorian for Disney+ The Mandalorian became a monster hit and gained a big fanbase and is still to this day one of the successful Star Wars series made. In Andor's case from the time it was announced Andor was proven to be successful after the failure of The Book Of Boba Fett and when Andor launched it's first season in 2022 Andor had the markings of "monster hit" and it received rave reviews and with Diego Luna in the role of Cassian Andor he made the series a true hit. The main reason why Andor suddenly got cancelled is because another Star Wars show was becoming the new focus. That show is Aksoka and even though Aksoka became the new focused-on Star Wars show Andor still was talked about. But I think weak ratings are what made Andor get not as many fans as they thought it would. But as with Obi-Wan Kenobi which also received stellar ratings they knew that with Andor they couldn't risk another failure and that's why Andor suddenly was cancelled. But we might see an Andor movie hit theaters in the near future soon enough
