Netflix renews Sweet Magnolias

Netflix has renewed "Sweet Magnolias" for a fifth season, consisting of 10 episodes. Showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson will be returning for the new season. The renewal was announced on April 23, 2025, and it follows the release of Season 4. The news comes as part of a series of announcements, including the greenlight for two new shows, "The Age of Innocence" and "Unaccustomed Earth," in addition to the renewal of "Sweet Magnolias," according to Variety. Maddie's decision to take a job in New York City at the end of Season 4 will also be explored in Season 5, as TV Insider reports. |
