Default Priscilla Barnes' hairstyle in the final episode

Am I the only one who doesn't like the hairdo that she had in the series finale from 1984? I've thought about posting about this for a while. I had previously touched upon it in a thread asking whether or not "'80s fashion killed Three's Company".

I don't know how to properly explain it other than it's quite obvious that Priscilla by this point, was going full into the prototypical "'80s look" with the big, teased out, Aqua Netted hair and the heavy make-up. It's just a very unflattering look, especially in hindsight and when compared to the way that Priscilla Barnes looked in her first season on the show from 1981. I keep thinking to myself, does Terri have a mullet going on in the final episode of Three's Company?

My sister had the same exact hairdoo that Terri had in last episode. Looked fine on her, and she was in her mid twenties. Interestingly enough my mom had the exact hairdoo Janet did in season six DVD box cover. It's the eighties, thats what the style was. Everyone looked fine, you didnt think about how is this hair style going to be judged in 2025. Most of the girls i went to school with, puffy frizzy hair. Of course there were the staight long haired girls and the occational Modonna look. All and all I never lost sleep over what thsi hair time will look like in 2025. Go Duke ! Let's get #6 !

I agree! I always thought that, even in the 80's when I watched the show.

Terri in season 6 was hot. Terri in season 8 was not.

My favorite look for Priscilla was her long style held in place by 2 side barrettes, when she first started on the series. A truly excellent look. And then any longer style.

I have to say though I really liked the following Season 8 look also. Still beautiful:

She looked so hot with her long bangs! It's a very simple style and not particularly long overall, but I think it worked for her. Such a pretty lady!

I do agree that the way she looks in the final episodes is too 80s. I prefer her with the thick bouncy hair.

I can't help but wonder if Cindy remained on the show through the end of its run in 1984 (instead of departing after the "Janet Wigs Out" episode in Season 6), would she have like Terri, gone with a full blown "'80s look" (i.e. big, overly processed hair, heavy make-up, shoulder pads, etc.).

I mean, this is what Jenilee Harrison looked like when she was on Dallas:

For some reason, Terri's hairstyle in the final episode at least, made her look "old" or at the very least, drastically aged her in my eyes. I mean, Terri obviously, came across as far more mature anyway than her predecessors, Cindy and Chrissy. But I just feel that the manner of which Priscilla Barnes was styled at the end, was a step too far. And keep in mind that Priscilla Barnes was I want to say, only about 30 or so years old when Three's Company ended. And yet, she looks virtually middle aged with the would be '80s yuppie look.

Absolutely great look! Priscilla's voluminous curls are fantastic.

Here's a sleek, comparable "sweeping" look for her hair, only shorter.
LOVELY. Priscilla's overall appearance is heavenly, stunning. (Did you

Here's a very nice, partially pulled-back hairstyle from earlier in the
series. I like how this style affords us a good look at her pretty face
and her ears. The length and curls set off her appearance so nicely,
along with tastefully chosen earrings. Very attractive:

I just had to show the following image of Priscilla with lovely, very curly hair:

Her ability to look beautiful and hot in a variety of hairstyles underscores
how remarkably good-looking she was...!

I'm guessing that when Priscilla first joined Three's Company in 1981, there was still some 1970s influence left over at least in the way that women dressed and styled themselves. Here in this link is Priscilla on The Love Boat back in 1978. Her hairstyle is pretty much the same (albeit in a darker shade) as it was over three years later, when she started working on Three's Company.

Here's Priscilla from TC with her hair pulled back, held in
place with a barrette. Some looks are timeless. Very
simply done, and simply beautiful, with abundant curls:

All decades had big, overly processed hair and heavy make-up, etc. However, I knew plenty of people in the 80s who did not have big, overly processed hair or heavy make-up.

I've addressed this before, but Priscilla Barnes by Season 8, really seemed to start "experimenting" with her hair.

Like in the "Forget Me Not" episode, she had what could best be described as a shaggy looking perm:

Priscilla with the gigantic bangs for better or worse, gives me Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface vibes:

Priscilla Barnes still kind of had that hairstyle when she guest starred on Murder, She Wrote less than a year after Three's Company's series finale aired.

Incidentally, Norman Fell (Stanley Roper) also appeared in this particular episode.

This goes back to an earlier point that I made here about how what was considered "hot" on women in the '80s, suddenly became seen as "ugly" once the '90s were in full force.
