Who are some artists who actually got better (in your opinion of course) when they went "commercial" or changed their style to something more commercially viable at least?

To me, the list is endless of singers who only got better as time went on whether they are considered sell out acts or not. At the end of the day, people are going to like whatever is out there due to one reason or another.
God bless you and my favorites who are still here always!!! Holly |

I have to say Genesis...Phil Collins even tried to keep the progressive rock songs on their live playlists.
