My Three Sons (1960–1972) was one of my favorite shows that started out in black and white and later switched to color. It revolved around a widower (Fred MacMurray) raising his sons with help from first, his late wife’s father and then, the late wife’s uncle. It was a cute show, and it was also unique for the time. Many other sitcoms were featuring more traditional mom-dad family units. It was also fairly unique due to how long-running it was. Many sitcoms of the time only lasted for a few years. Five or six years was considered a great run. Twelve years was nearly unheard of. The long-running nature of My Three Sons meant it had many amazing episodes. I’m about to list five must-watch episodes of the show, but trust me when I say there are many more. In fact, it’s difficult for me to think of any episodes I didn’t like.

I don't think anyone who posts in this forum would consider a Fergus episode from Season 12 to be Top 50 (perhaps not even Top 100) for the series, so it's certainly a shock that she's named one for her Top 5 "must-see" eps...!

Agreed. I'd still like to view all of those Fergus episodes unedited, as originally aired, though. Now we're stuck with 4 low-quality, badly edited episodes.

If the OP has an account with that site, I'd like to see her other favorites. Most of my favorites involve Beverly Garland, including the full story arc that opened season 10.

I'm not a big fan of the black and white seasons, but I know many fans of the show are.
