Rosa quits the force in Season 8 due to police brutality, but in previous seasons, she had no problem joking about or even encouraging excessive force. She never once reflects on her past behavior or acknowledges that she was part of the problem—she just quits and suddenly acts like she’s morally superior to everyone else.
And the show just expects us to accept that Rosa has always been on the right side of history instead of showing real character development. She just treats everyone else as if they are the problem while never addressing her own past complicity. |
