When it comes to cable news channels CNN always remained #1 and even with it's sister channel CNN Headline News debuting after CNN's launch CNN still remained #1 because they used to be number one with top stars such as the late Bernard Shaw Wolf Blitzer and many other anchors CNN prided itself on bringing the top news around the world and just by listening to James Earl Jones saying the iconic "This Is CNN" slogan people knew this channel would be different from all the other TV news shows. Soon after CNN was launched other cable news channels began to follow in CNN's footsteps starting with the launch of America's Talking which debuted in 1991 and though it had a slow start at first America's Talking proved that they were better than CNN but when America's Talking merged with Microsoft and NBC and christened itself MSNBC they actually got better but all that would change in 1993 when Fox News Channel launched and with stars like Sean Hannity and the late Alan Colmes Fox knew that Fox News Channel would rival CNN with better programming and even today Fox News Channel has gone on to be a successful franchise of channels creating channels such as Fox Business Network Fox Weather and FoxNation and there is just no stopping Fox because this channel is such a success in TV today. Will other cable news channels be created in the years to come? Only time will tell
