Jon-Erik Hexum had his on-set accident 40 years ago this week

This coming Saturday (October 12), will officially mark 40 years since Jon-Erik Hexum inadvertently shot himself in the head with a blank-loaded pistol on the set of Cover Up. He would succumb to his wounds less than six days later.

Mac (Jon-Erik Hexum) and Dani (Jennifer O'Neill) are sent to help a man who went after the man who stole from a charity he runs. It seems that the town where the thief is in now, if filled with corrupt officials who arrest the man and made sure that the thief won't be extradited. So they have to stage a dangerous sting with Rick (Mykelti Williamson) to try and get the thief out of the town so he can be arrested.
