TMC Member Forum Idol Join Date: Jan 09, 2001 Posts: 127,532	The North American Soccer League held its final game 40 years ago this month For those who don't know or remember, the North American Soccer League or NASL was from 1968 through 1984, basically what Major League Soccer is today. In other words, it was the big, top-tier professional men's soccer league in North America. Well, 40 years ago this month (on October 3, 1984), the NASL held what would be its final game, which was the second game of the championship series, Soccer Bowl '84 between the Toronto Blizzard and Chicago Sting.
