I could be wrong, but I think that Dolly Parton one time said that she thinks that Whitney Houston does "I Will Always Love You" better. Don't hold me to it though.

Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails) said that he didn't like the idea of people covering his songs, but that once he heard Johnny Cash's rendition of "Hurt" he realized that it wasn't his song anymore.
