Explore special effects and goofs from the Adventures of Superman 1950s TV series starring George Reeves as Superman, Noel Neill and Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane, Jack Larson as Jimmy Olsen, John Hamilton as Perry White, and Robert Shayne as Inspector Henderson.

I start with some special effects and goofs from the feature film that would become a two-part episode later on, Superman and the Mole Men.

I take a look at the work of special effects wizard Thol Simonson known to most as Si Simonson including the pan he created for George Reeves to fly in when wires were deemed no longer safe, and a look at how they created the other super feats of Superman including busting through walls, bullets bouncing off his chest, and super breath.

I look at the special effects mishaps behind the scenes that actually ended up knocking George Reeves out one day, plus some interesting and sometimes perplexing goofs that made it to the final cut. I talk about the possibility of finding outtakes and bloopers in the future that didn't make it to the final cut and share my own personal bloopers I made while making this video.

I also share some fun trivia facts about the first Jimmy Olsen comic book and the origin of Perry White's favorite catchphrase, "Great Caesar's Ghost".

I also take a look at how Superman was made to look like he could stop moving cars, planes, and buses on the television screen, and I look at George Reeve's super landings and takeoffs.
