The other day I caught Barbara on the 1980 movie, Airplane! where she plays a lady who talks jive. It was a hilarious scene ... hearing June Cleaver talk jive. You must catch this movie next time it's on.

I've seen that several times! I now have the movie. Is that not the funniest thing you have ever seen?

HAHA!!! brit! me and her talk abotu this movie non stop!! it was actually on last night at 10:00 central time (i posted about it a few days ago) but you can also listen to it! but i think it's funny becuase she dresses like june kind of in the movie, she's got her pearls and her blouse and skirt!

"jive ass dude don't got no brains anyhow!"

I find it funny that she swears, anybody else think that???

I was watching some of the movie on Saturday night but it was on the same time as the season premiere SNL so I was flipping the channels back and forth. I missed her though! I assume the movie will be on again sometime soon. I can't wait to see her though!

it won't be on for a while, but if you are dyign to see it (it's funny as hell)

then i'm sure you can go and rent it at your movie store! (I did before) but fox family edited out when the guy says jacking me up (or off) haha, and when barbara says ass... and i just about DIED when i read your jus hang loose blooood Brit, that's the part that gets me cracking off my rocker and then it just goes ALL downhill from there!!!!! (haha) For those of you who like Barbara as much as me and Brit, then she's on a movie on the Lifetime Movie Network on thrusday late night (actually early friday morning) as like 2:00, it's called wedding day blues! Brit says she's got a kinda funny part in that, i dont' really know cuz i haven't seen it yet, but that's out newest kick!

Barbara Billingsley's "jive" scene in "Airplane" nearly *killed* me once.

I was sitting in a hospital bed. My roommate and I were watching that movie on television. The nurse came in with medication for me. Miss Billingsley started speaking "jive" just at the exact moment I was swallowing my pills. I started laughing and very nearly choked on them. Fortunately, the nurse saved me!

Part of me wishes, I hadn't heard about Barbara on Airplane! before actually watching it. Just think what all of our reactions would be if we saw it with no expectations. Totally out of character for Barbara.
