IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! Here's the story about an animation company that was a big risk-taker during the 80s and 90s, churning out licensed programming like hot cakes at IHOP. Produced some of your favorite programming such as Inspector Gadget, The Real Ghostbusters, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Sonic the Hedgehog, among others. This is my most ambitious project to date since I practically did this one solo. So without further adieu, ENJOY!!!

Oh No

I loved the corporation when they had their day in the sun, but like many things... nothing lasts forever...

DIC Animation Studios were the king of all cartoons of the 80's and 90's and from the time Inspector Gadget debuted DIC Animation Studios was gonna be the top company for animated cartoons but as soon as Heathcliff came out you knew that DIC Animation Studios was gonna get even more popular than ever. Because DIC Animation Studios had something that other cartoon animation companies never had before and that was what made them special. Also what made DIC Animation Studios unique was they had their own logo and if you were a child of the 80's and 90's you probably remember that classic logo that featured a child sleeping in bed and the DIC Animation logo appeared out of the window and I think that logo was the best DIC Animation Studios logo made. But if you saw the first DIC Animation Logos that was green and even had Inspector Gadget in one version of the logo you knew that having Inspector Gadget as their popular star cartoon really helped because I think Inspector Gadget was their mascot during the early years of DIC Animation Studios. But in the 90's when cartoons like Madeline and Sailor Moon became more popular DIC Animation Studios had become a powerhouse by producing quality cartoons and well drawn characters DIC was on a roll. But I think what really hurt DIC Animation Studios was the cancellation of Sailor Moon and when the series didn't do well in America I think DIC Animation Studios knew that it would soon be the end. And so what I think what would save DIC Animation Studios was a deal with FOX to produce their own cartoon block that aired on Saturday Mornings in the 2000's and it was successful. But when DIC Animation Studios renamed itself Cookie Jar Entertainment DIC Animation Studios focused on making more cartoons but put the classic cartoons on DVD in cartoon collection set. But it has left a huge successful mark for creators to use inspiration for cartoons today that will be a huge success in the future

DiC was popular long before Inspector Gadget and Heathcliff. Ulysses 31 was their first cartoon, and although barely broadcast in North america, it was a smash hit and is still talked about today across Europe and Australia.

And DiC didnt rename themselves Cookie Jar- that is an entirely different company that bought some of the rights to their programs. Cookie Jar is now known as DHX media.
