Invasion, Kindred the Embraced, VR5, Harsh Realm, Nowhere Man, American Gothic, and Dark Skies are all examples of shows to come out in the wake of The X-Files' success. Like The X-Files, these shows also had a central story, mystery or mythology and such, to go along with its stand alone stories.
But like I said, they all ultimately failed to strike a chord with enough viewers to avoid cancellation. Are there any theories or reasons as to why this was the case? |
