The actress was interested in reuniting the old cast. Paul Henning partially based Petticoat Junction off of his own grandmother "There is sentiment connected with the whistle of the railroad train." Here's how they made the train move in Petticoat Junction "When it runs, we all get seasick," said Bea Benaderet. Bea Benaderet set the record straight about how much actors were making on television reruns "Everybody thinks actors in TV series are all rich." |

"Linda Henning pushed for a Petticoat Junction reunion"
Better that it didn't happen. The other two Henning shows had reunions and the results in both cases were bad. Benaderet and Buchanan the stars were both dead by 1980 plus all the actors who were part of the train crew so it wouldn't have been much of a reunion to begin with. The History of Hooterville DVD which is available on YouTube is very good and really is a must watch for any fan of the series. |

Remarkable coincidence that Byron Foulger (as Wendell Gibbs) died on the very same day the final PJ episode aired first-run: April 4, 1970. And April 4 was Benaderet's birthday as well...!
