I saw the last episode of Young Sheldon after George's funeral and thought that it turned out to be a 30 minute power contest between Mary and the kids, especially when she ordered them to get baptized. Itt shows why I never liked her because she's bossy, controlling, overprotective and overly religious.

Sheldon won that battle.....he left! Georgie would follow. He'd end up owning three tire stores in Dallas later on, but at least he got out. That leaves Missy to wage all those future mother-daughter battle royales that seem to happen to all mothers and daughters.

Young Sheldon's series finale won't leave viewers "wallowing in grief"

Showrunner Steve Holland says tonight’s series finale originally intended to feature George Sr.'s funeral — until co-creator Chuck Lorre stepped in. "As we were talking about it, it was Chuck who said, 'This show has been such a positive family show,'" Holland tells EW. "'Let's not leave the audience wallowing in grief. Let's give them a little bit of ramp out of it, not do that in the finale, and give the finale room to have a little bit more hope to it.' That's how those last two episodes shifted out."
