I first discovered Dream when they were airplayed on Radio Disney and the song that they played was He Loves He Loves Me Not and I knew that they were gonna be huge and so I bought their debut album and found it surprisingly good. But I think what really caused Dream to get little fame was they were signed to Bad Boy Entertainment which is mainly a R&B/Rap label and I think why Sean Combs wanted to have a teen girl band signed to his label was so he could become like Maurice Starr did in the 80's when he discovered the groups New Edition and New Kids On The Block. And when Sean Combs signed Dream he knew that they were his ticket to fame. But as I listened to more of the album the songs had an R&B sound but the oddest thing they did was cover New Edition's 1984 hit Mr. Telephone Man and that cover put Dream in R&B territory. But I think when Melissa Schulman quit Dream that's when Dream went downhill. They released a second album called Reality that never saw the light of day and caused Dream to split up. But country singer Jessica Andrews covered their song I Don't Like Anyone and it became a hit for Jessica Andrews. But had Dream signed with a different label such as Columbia Records they would've gotten more big in my eyes
