https://screenrant.com/power-rangers...leader-debate/
Power Rangers’ latest Red Ranger reignited an old debate about the hierarchy of colors in the franchise that traces back to the original Green Ranger. |

You lost me at "Screen Rant".....
Anyway, I thought it was indirectly implied that the White Ranger powers were stronger than the rest of the core team in MMPR, hence why Tommy was able to defeat Goldar more than once on his own with ease, something he could never do with the Green Ranger powers. Also, they never made Rocky the leader because he came off as a goof one too many times, something that never really happened with Jason. The only reason why Tommy was the Red Ranger in Zeo is simple. There were only 5 Zeo crystals, none of which had the color white, and it was established later on that Billy couldn't assume the Zeo powers at all when they tried making him the Gold Ranger because of the Command Center blowing up at the end of season 3. |
