When it was announced that Nickelodeon would be returning to game shows many people were surprised that Nickelodeon would do this because after developing sitcoms and cartoons it was time for Nickelodeon to return to game shows again. And starting with BrainSurge Nickelodeon would hope that it would be a hit and Nickelodeon would develop more game shows just like when they created Finders Keepers in 1987. Now you know why BrainSurge reruns are not on Paramount+ like Double Dare 2000 and Make The Grade and Get The Picture and Figure It Out? I think BrainSurge wasn't promoted as much and people were expecting it to be a success like Legends Of The Hidden Temple and Double Dare and Nick Arcade and Nickelodeon Guts but you can see why BrainSurge had a short life? Because the gameplay was odd to me and the final round was very confusing and you can see why it got low ratings. After BrainSurge's cancellation Nickelodeon did try with other game shows but they discovered that cartoons and sitcoms were their strong suit
