"Night Court" to Bring Back Brent Spiner and Annie O’Donnell as the Wheelers

Two of "Night Court‘s" most memorable defendants are returning to the courtroom.

Brent Spiner and Annie O’Donnell will reprise their roles as hard-luck couple Bob and June Wheeler later this season on NBC‘s sequel series, TVLine has learned. "Night Court" producer Dan Rubin announced the news during the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Tuesday.

Plus, "The Big Bang Theory" alum Kate Micucci will play the Wheelers’ daughter, who’s now all grown up.

(Micucci joins fellow "Big Bang" alum Melissa Rauch on "Night Court", although their paths never crossed.)

Kate Micucci returns to acting tonight on Night Court, three months after lung cancer surgery

“This was a perfect way to get back into it,” the comedy actress and musician tells the New York Post. “I’m still dealing with (the after-effects of her surgery); I still get a cough, occasionally, like a little coughing fit, and I’m so fortunate that I’m OK. I was pretty much able to be myself (while shooting Night Court) and not be in too much trouble. Sometimes I would go outside and cough a little bit and come back in.”
