Lois and Clark was a good show and so was Smallville. Yes Smallville JTS and I bailed on it about 2 years before it ended. But in it's prime, it was one of the best.

I love both Smallville, and The Amazing Spider Man.

Let's face it, even the "worst" comic book TV shows are still good.
I actually really enjoyed "Birds of Prey" and "Lois & Clark." I've never seen "Smallville", nor do I have the desire to. |

Smallville really progressed following the first season. I'm not saying the first season was bad -- not at all. But early on it tended to be the "freak of the week" approach.
Smallville's best characters actually tended to be ones created for the series, like Chloe Sullivan and Lionel Luthor (Lex's dad). It was a very worthwhile series. |

Yeah, the Jimmy Olsen thing was a strange turn.
Allison Mack (Chloe) showed very good acting ability. And I should also mention that I liked the casting of Jonathan and Martha Kent -- though both were totally unlike the comic book characters, usually depicted as an elderly couple. |
