A few shows come to mind:
Don't Trust the B--- in Apt 23 may have lasted more than two seasons had it aired on a cable network or streaming service instead of on ABC. It also had the misfortune of airing at a time when edgy comedies like this weren't doing well in general. Happy Endings lasted three seasons, but never got huge ratings. I think it may have had a better chance at success if it had aired on a cable network. I always thought it felt like a show that should have been on USA Network when they had comedies. Moonlight was a vampire drama on CBS in 2007; and was not successful. Truth be told, it just didn't fit on CBS. It should have aired on another network like NBC or FOX. Where it may have stood a better shot at success. and My So-Called Life lasted only 19 episodes in 1994-1995. A critical success it may have lasted longer had it aired on another network. Fox seems like a natural choice given their programming at the time; or the WB which launched a season after MSCL ended. |

I really liked Don’t Trust the B in Apt.23. I agree it could have lasted longer somewhere besides network TV. On a cable channel or streaming service it wouldn't have the restraints that network TV had.
