The Golden Girls is a iconic for its humor and its amazing leading ladies, but how old were Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia really supposed to be?

I always thought the Girls were the following ages in 1985:

Dorothy - 55
Rose - 55
Blanche - 50
Sophia - 80

Based on later references:

Michael - 38 (though the actor was 29 when he taped the first episode featuring Michael)
Phil - 45
Gloria - 50 (by my own estimate)

I've always wondered about Rebecca's age, as there were two actresses to play her and they are 8 years apart. My guess is the character was around 25 in 1985. I think Bridget was around 20 and Kirsten around 25.
