Was this the beginning of the end of Susan Dey as a "star"

She of course, first became a household name in the 1970s with The Partridge Family and then in the '80s, her career enjoyed a second lease on life with her role on LA Law. I think that everybody knows that Susan was fired from Love & War, which was her first big project after departing from LA Law, after the first season for "reasons".

And take a look at her career after Love & War leading up to her retirement from acting in 2004.

How about the fact that Dey starred in a film called Sad Inheritance, which was straight to DVD and was one of the worst films of 1993? She also produced it which means she really took bath on the project as it was an abject failure.

Or how about the fact that Dey did a lot of low budget made for television films for Lifetime that did terribly in 1990s? When was she “taking a break” from Hollywood then, champ? Looks like a former star trying desperately to become a star again, and failing miserably. In fact, even her return in the LA Law movie in 2002 was ignored by critics and many of her fans.
