Friends had many plot twist, that also changed the dynamics of the group and created entire storylines.
Same for Roseanne.
Also Mom had a few touching and interesting ones, but mainly concerning minor characters.
There was also a very fun and unexpected one on The Nanny.

Probably no one saw it coming when all the crazy happenings on "Newhart" ended up being part of a Bob Hartley dream, revealed on the final episode as Bob wakes up in bed with Emily.
