The second problem was on the production side, Bonnie Franklin directed many of the episodes, and she had no understanding of what made The Munsters classic TV to begin with".

Schuck stated he took the job for the money and disliked working on the series. His performance certainly was consistent with that attitude. It felt like the were playing dress up and doing a bad imitation of the original actors.

I thought it was interesting that Bonnie Franklin appeared on an episode of the original 1960's Munsters- you would think that someone who appeared (albeit only once) on the original show would have had a better sense of what the characters were supposed to be like.

I never really thought about this until now, but why did there have to be the backstory about the Munsters waking up from a state of suspended animation? Basically, we're supposed to accept the idea that this is the same Munsters family from the original 1960s TV series being transported to the late 1980s.

I know that I'm putting too much thought into this but still, if the Munsters had been in a state of suspended animation for 22 years, then how do you explain why Herman suddenly stopped going to work, why Eddie and Marilyn stopped going to school, and why bills haven't been paid?
