Default All 7 Seasons Of The Golden Girls, Ranked Worst To Best

https://screenrant.com/golden-girls-...ed-worst-best/

The Golden Girls is one of TV's greatest achievements, delivering seven seasons of comedy — and while they’re all great, some are better than others.

Some of my favorite episodes are from Season 3. How could anyone say it was the worst season.

Bringing Up Baby
The Housekeeper
Nothing to fear but fear itself
Brotherly Love
A visit from little Sven
The audit
The Artist (one of my top 5 favorite episodes)
Blanche's Little Girl
My Brother, My father (hysterical)
And Ma makes three
Mixed Blessing

These are so freaking good

The first three seasons were solid. Season 4 was still strong, but lost its edge a bit. My list from best to worst is:

2
3
1
4
7
5
6

Season 5 was when the writers changed in the series and the storylines weren't as funny as the earlier seasons. Not a bad season, just not the same as S1 through 3. I thought season 7 had more funny moments than 5 and 6. Season 6 seemed a little too goofy. Just my opinion of course.

Exactly right. Season 4 was still really good but was not as good as the first 3. Season 5 they started inserting "in the news" topics as scripts and started jumping the shark. While still a great show it just was not the same with those writers. Season 1 is great but they are getting their groove. Season 2 and 3 are so darn good. I see this with other great sitcoms too. For example All In The Family. Fantastic first season but it got better with season 2 and 3 and then started to fade. Roseanne is another example. Fantastic first season but it got better the next few seasons.

What I hated about the later seasons of Golden Girls was how the writing went for silly laughs with each line. Sophia insulted Dorothy with every line. It lost its credibility and Sophia's character lost depth. They just made her a silly troublemaker. Estelle also could not remember her lines after season 3 and her reading lines of cue cards got really annoying. The jokes lost their impact when they are being slowly read from cue cards.

The worst (IMHO) was Season 05. Good stories were ruined by rotten B plots. The best was prob Season 02.

IMO, Season 1 features the most rewatchable episodes (Transplant, The Triangle, The Competition, The Operation, The Flu, The Heart Attack, A Little Romance)...and I liked the more theatre-like staging.

I can see why many feel seasons 6 and 7 are weaker (though still enjoyable, unlike some series' later seasons - ie, Roseanne). Seasons 6 and 7 seem to have more "average" episodes than 1-5.
