Spears made headlines in 2012 joining Season 2 of Simon Cowell's Fox version of his British hit reality singing competition, alongside Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid. Spears reportedly earned $15 million, but opted not to return for a third and final season. Spears writes in her memoir The Woman in Me that being on live TV filled her with fear and anxiety. “I think a lot of people are really professional on TV, like Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani.
