"Bold & Beautiful" Actor Darin Brooks is Out

Darin Brooks, who has played Wyatt Spencer on "The Bold and the Beautiful" for the past decade, confirmed on Thursday that his days on the CBS soap are over.

In an Instagram post, Brooks wrote, “Many of you have seen that I am no longer in the credits on [B&B]… After 10 amazing years, it’s time for me to say ‘Until we meet again… ‘ to Wyatt Spencer.”

The actor — who in 2021 was reduced to recurring status on the sudser — ended his statement on a hopeful note, hinting that the door has been left open for him to return as Wyatt down the line.

“Doesn’t mean it’s the end,” he concluded, “just… bye for now.”

After a two-and-a-half year hiatus, "The Bold and the Beautiful" is regaining its hilarious heartthrob Wyatt Spencer, originated in 2013 by Darin Brooks.

Entertainment Weekly can exclusively announce that Brooks is rejoining the cast of the CBS daytime drama, with his first episode back coinciding with his birthday on May 27.

"There's some times where you hang on to a story, sometimes a little too long, that you feel like it was wrapped up," Brooks tells Entertainment Weekly in the lead-up to his homecoming. But then, "You always could tell a little more story."

Brooks cannot go into much detail on his return, but says "Wyatt's dad forces him to come back to town, and then we realize why he's here and what he has going on in relation to the girlfriend, to Flo, and to someone who is a part of his life, who also comes back with him."

The actor breaks into a mischievous grin when he describes this mysterious accomplice as "a surprise special guest, who I think you'll see when we air as well, on the second day. He comes back to L.A. for a reason that his dad asks, but he comes back with a surprise guest."
