Most Undeserving Winner from the 2002 MTV VMAs - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Note that I seriously believe that the VMAs should only base the winners on how original the concepts are and how impressive the visuals are rather than the simply the quality of the artists per se:
*Best Female Video:
Pink over Shakira

*Best Group Video:
No Doubt over Blink 182

*Best Video of the Year:
Eminem over The White Stripes-Part of me thinks this simply because Eminem already one the "Biggest Award" back in 2000 even though I'm not mad at the choice when compared to last year when "Lady Marmalade" beat Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" for the top award.

*Best Hip-Hop Video:
J-Lo & Ja-Rule over Busta Rhymes & Puff Daddy/P. Diddy-Come on MTV, how can you turn down a video that features a cameo from Mr. T!?

*Best Video from a Film:
The singer from Nickelback & the singer from Saliva over Nelly

I think Shakira definately shoulda won over Pink... I mean come on , Shakira or Pink.. ummmmm let me think.

I went to MTV.com and found all the nominees and stuff. since it is almost 1 am I will make a list of who I wanted to win. Some of the ones I list have already won but heres what I think and agree with.

Best video of the year: The White Stripes
Best male video: Nelly, I wanted him to win cuz the rest all suck.
Best female video: Ashanti deserved that award, that wasn't fair!
Best group video: Blink 182
Best rap video: the nominees sucked!
Best r&b video: Ashanti should have won this too, or Aaliyah, I didn't really like Aaliyahs song or video but she died, how disrespectful to nominate somebody who sadly passed and have her lose!
Best hip hop video: Fat Joe f. Ashanti
Best dance video: Shakira
Best rock video: Jimmy Eat World
Best pop video: Shakira
Best new artist: Avril Lavigne
Best video from a film: Nelly
MTV2 award: The Hives
Viewers choice: Michelle Branch
Breakthrough video: The White Stripes
Best direction: Red Hot Chili Peppers
Best choreography: Kylie Minogue
Best special effects in a video: The White Stripes
Best art direction: the nominees all sucked for this one!
Best editing in a video: The White Stripes
Best cinematography in a video: Alicia Keys
