Well, when a character gets so defined as David Harbour's Hopper has it's inevitable that people will always think of him as Hopper. If his career continues after Stranger Things it may well be years before (or ever) he will be disassociated with Hopper. He might as well accept that with a sense of humor and gratefulness! I have loved Jim Hopper since the first season and I will miss him and the series when it ends!
