Considering this was spun-off from Perfect Strangers, I find this kind of weird. It would have been cool to see the Winslows and Steve visit Larry and Balki or vice versa. I mean, Perfect Strangers was still running until 1993, by which point Family Matters was already in its fourth season. Plus, they all lived in Chicago, unlike Step by Step, which was in Port Washington, Wisconsin, and Full House, which was in San Francisco (both shows that Steve crossed over into).
Just imagine Steve meeting Balki. |

^^^ I agree. Harriette doesn't get fired from the Chronicle building until season five of Family Matters. Larry and Balki could've been shown before then.
God bless you always!!! Holly |

I forgot to add, I did here that Larry and Balki were originally supposed to appear in one of the early Family Matters episodes, but the crossover was cancelled, for whatever reason.
Maybe the creators wanted to distance themselves from the fact Family Matters was a spin-off of Perfect Strangers? Some casual watchers of both shows don't even know Family Matters is a spin-off of Perfect Strangers in the first place. |

Wait — ‘Family Matters’ Was a Spin-Off?
The hit '90s show actually stemmed from a character on another beloved sitcom, and it wasn't Urkel. |
