There are a number of television series that simply didn't know when to quit, but these ten shows made their exits at expertly ideal times.

Parks and Recreation is a show that I first thought of. I really don't know how a show like that with its decidedly optimistic view on politics would've flown in the Trump era.

Third Rock from the Sun! It couldn't have ended at a better time, and I could tell that it was one of the few shows where the writers went into it knowing years in advance how they wanted to end it.

Leave it to Beaver ended at the right time when Wally graduated from high school and Beaver was about to head to Mayfield High School. The show ran its course after six seasons.

One show that should have ended before it did, was All in The Family. The end should have been at the Mike, Gloria and Joey move to California episode. No Stephanie, no Archie Bunkers Place. |
