One notable omission was The Dick Van Dyke Show. Carl Reiner ordered the writers not to use what he called "Contemporary slang" because he did not want to date the show in reruns.

Kind of odd that 'All in the Family' is number one on that list, 'I Love Lucy' is missing from the list, and 'Malcolm in the Middle' is included in the list.
