I don't imagine most kids these days have any idea of who Jack Benny is. I remember I was talking to some young adults, and they had never heard of Bob Hope before. That was a real eye opener for me.

I've been watching this lately, and this show is genuinely funny. It almost always makes me laugh. Jack Benny was a comedy genius.

In real life Jack was generous and pleasant to work with ! He didn't mind getting the blunt end of the jokes as long as it was funny, which many skits & jokes played him the fool !
I have about a dozen Benny shows I never tire of seeing in reruns |
