Question Actors who surprised you by their real voices

For example, Stephanie Beatriz. Compare the way that she speaks as Rosa Diaz on Brooklyn 99:

To her natural speaking voice, when out of character, which is very bubbly and high pitched:

Jon Gammon (Darren) from the middle used a different voice on the show compared to how he sounds in real life.

I wouldn't have known Margot Robbie, Rose Byrne and Isla Fisher are from Australia. Their American accents are very good. Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things also has a very good American accent.

Speaking of camouflaging accents how about Mark Addy on "Still Standing "? He's British

Yes. He's a good example. Idris Elba is another British actor with a good American accent.

Lisa Whelchel hid her Texan accent pretty well on The Facts of Life.

Ken Maynard ?. I know a Ken Curtis played Festus. Is Maynard is actual given last name.??/ As for accents, at the time Titanic came out I didn't know Kate Winslet was British and she sounded as American as I.

You're correct, it's Ken Curtis.
I had a brain fart... Ken Maynard is another old western actor...

Not an actor but on YouTube I heard a recording of the voice of Teddy Roosevelt.

I expected a Ron Swanson kind of voice and ended up with a high pitched aristocratic voice.

Daniel Ezra - I'm shocked to learn that he's actually British because his American voice on All-American is really convincing.

I suppose one example of the "voice doesn't fit the person's physical appearance" for me, is Liv Tyler. If you ever hear Liv speak, she has a very soft, feminine, breathless, gentle, almost peaceful-type of voice. But on the same token, Liv is also a really tall, almost "big-boned" woman, so at first glance, it's a bit understandable to just assume that she should sound decidedly more "authoritative" and forceful. I would also naturally figure that a woman with such a soft speaking voice like Liv's would have a slight and petite frame (a la somebody like Melissa Rauch).

Wow, these actors sound NOTHING like their TV characters IRL. For this list, we’ll be looking at performers who drastically changed their voice and/or accent for a role on the small screen. Our countdown includes Catherine O'Hara, Hugh Laurie, Pedro Pascal, and more! Which actor’s real voice shocked YOU the most?
