Eric Braeden needs to put down his magic flip phone, get up and go take his old man pills, and calm down. I could get where that statement would come off as offensive, but nothing Eva said deserved that kind of criticism. Just disgusting behavior and uncalled for. The woman said nothing to him so he should have shared his thoughts and shut his mouth. The insults regarding her acting and her career were very unnecessary and had nothing to do with what she said.

Former soap stars and Eva Longoria friends Eric Winter and Roselyn Sánchez have entered the Longoria-Eric Braeden drama chat.

On their podcast "He Said, Ella Dijo", the two (who are also married) weighed in on Braeden's comments. "I was like, 'You're messing with my girl? Not happening,'" Sánchez said.

"Nothing Eva said was inappropriate," Winter said. "This guy is completely out of line in my opinion because he doesn't know what Eva's financial status was at that time in her career. I guarantee you he was making a ton more money than she was."

Sanchez defended Longoria and directed her comments to Braeden, saying, "You were out of line. What you said was completely uncalled for."

Winter added, "This guy is trying to find a way in his older age to get back in the spotlight for whatever reason and to make it a point to defend daytime, which she was not attacking."
