Okay, here's one reason Young Sheldon can't continue after 2025: Ghosts.
CBS is already building up Ghosts to be the next top comedy on U.S. broadcast TV after Young Sheldon ends, and it may take over the Thursday lead-off slot. If a continuation or spinoff of YS means holding back Ghosts in the long term, then I'll definitely NOT be in favor of that. I am always hesitant about a network flooding its schedule with more spinoffs; A suggestion like a spinoff is just overrated. This is assuming CBS sticks with two hours of comedy total on its primetime schedule in 2024-25 and beyond. |
