The challenge is to cast male actors (those in the same time period) of Golden Girls.

You mean to cast an all male version of The Golden Girls and call it something like The Golden Geezers?

Tony Randall could play the equivalent part of Rose
Jack Klugman could play the equivalent part of Blanche
Mickey Rooney could have played the part of Sophia
I'm having trouble casting the equivalent part of Dorothy.
